I usually ask the people that I take pictures of to write a caption when I upload their pictures. Pictures are my way to express the way I see them. Asking them to write couple lines is me asking them what to they want/have to say. That being said I went after Rody for months(yes, MONTHS) for him to say something but he kept delaying it! You see that’s the whole fun in being Rody. Not caring what others have to say and just doing what he wants to do the way be wants to do it.
I took these pictures couple months ago before this idiot chose to leave me in this cold as shit country haha. The reason I am uploading these pictures is because we have the same birthday!
So…. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY! Miss you
If you ever lived in Lennoxville and you didn’t meet Molly I feel bad for you.
“ be patient with your love, be wise with your love, be affirmative with your love, don’t be wasteful. lock it away, hide the key and place it on a shelf somewhere in your heart. wait for someone with gentle hands to unlock it. someone who understands your worth, understands your love, understands what you have to offer, and understands that your soul deserves something true. something that doesn’t fade after a few trials and stumbles. something that overcomes all obstacles and lasts forever. something real.”

“What are you
Constantly being questioned
What are you
Questions regarding my identity disrupting my serenity
In this bubble that my parents had built for me
A bubble where I felt safe
a bubble where I used to feel safe
But apparently
I talk White
I dress white
I walk White
I don't do anything right
I can't be black
Do I have to pick a side
Do I want to pick a side
Constantly being pulled back and forth in this ethnic riptide
Do I have to pick between my mom or my dad
does owning up to one race mean that I think the other one is bad
By choosing a side do I reject half of me
Do I reject half of my family
Do I reject half of my history
I'm a product of love that was once ruled as illegal
and I hope that one day I will be treated as an equal
I hope one day I will find my people
And that my hopes and dreams won't be deemed as inconceivable”

“In this world, wherever there is light - there are also shadows. As long as the concept of winners exists, there must also be losers. The selfish desire of wanting to maintain peace causes wars, hatred is born to protect love.”
-Maeric and Norman, May 2020.
“2% that should be the most important percentage in your life. You can only control about 2% of what goes on in your life. You can’t control the weather, the traffic, people’s opinions etc but what you can control is your effort and your attitude/outlook on life. It’s not always easy to control that 2% but when you do, you’ll be able to confidently say you did all you could, regardless of the outcome.

“As an exchange student I can say that my BU experience was an amazing one, It made me change my view on life and made me realize what has real value in life and therefore thank you my BU family!”

“An old friend of mine sent me this two years ago and since then it is my daily reminder. I want to share it with you too: So you want to be happy? Then stop letting the smallest things ruin your daily routine, do something unexpected. Stop complaining about how alone you are because you are surrounded by people that actually care about you. Forget all the drama and let go all the grudges you’ve been holding. Stop wasting time lingering over all that you could have, should have and would have done. Stop spending your days thinking how much better you could do. Stop longing for something that has been and always will be out of your reach. Just live the days as they come. Wake up every morning and smile at the wonderful day that awaits you. Take a risk for once. Let yourself be happy, because you deserve it.
Be uncommon amongst uncommon people my friends!”

“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together."

“Oh, I been a fool, but that’s cool, that’s what human beings do.
keep your eyes to the sky,
never glued to your shoes
Guess there was a time when
my mind was consumed
But the sun’s coming out now,
clouds start to move
Don’t tell me nothing but the truth
Im tired, I don’t got a spare second
Win or lose, win or lose
I don’t keep count nobody checkin” -- Mac Miller

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” -- Marianne Williamson

“As her awareness grew, the
illusion of limitation and
separation slowly vanished.
One day, she observed
herself more deeply
and realized that the atoms
in her body are the same stars
that she sees in the night sky.” - Yung Pueblo

“I genuinely believe that we have all the answers to the questions within ourselves. The hardest part is knowing where to look. When you start venturing deeper within yourself, amazing things happen. You realize that intuition is just knowledge from within. When looking for answers from the outside, we’re really just looking for reassurance, not clarity.”
-Samia, September 2018.
“It's time for you to open your mind. Accept whatever 'cause why care for it ? You, the people and the things you love are what that matters.Do what you want as long as you don't bother me with it for today because next thing you know you'll be sipping wine by my side.
Smile
All love”

“Not taking myself too seriously made me do silly things, just like this. But those silly things have helped me becoming who I am today, and they help me be serious when I need to.”

"One of the most important things I understood when I arrived to Canada is that we can't grow without leaving our comfort zone. Growing can be painful and scary but once you get there step by step, you realize that all of this definitely worth the shot."

Photography becomes art when it reveals the soul and reveals the authenticity of the subject. Through a “click” Varuna knows how to reveal who I am and makes a simple picture a piece of art.

"I feel very confortable when Varuna is taking pictures of me. It's more like going to a journey and coming back with a lots of pictures to remember it."
